Do you snore, feel exhausted during the day, experience challenges with concentration, mood, or struggle to stay asleep? These may seem like merely annoyances, but they could likely be symptoms of a more serious, yet treatable, sleep disorder. A sleep study (also called a polysomnogram) is the first step toward uncovering the root of the problem and improving your sleep, your health, and your life.
A sleep study, or Polysomnogram (PSG) is a painless, overnight test that records how your body functions while you sleep. During the study, sensors monitor a wide range of physiological data, including:
This data gives our sleep specialists a complete picture of your sleep quality and any disorders that may be affecting it.
Many people live with undiagnosed sleep disorders. In the U.S. alone, it’s estimated that 50 to 70 million adults suffer from a sleep disorder, and up to 80–90% of people with sleep apnea remain undiagnosed. This means tens of millions of Americans are living with a serious, treatable condition without even knowing it. A sleep study can detect serious but silent conditions like:
Premature Atrial Contractions (PACs), Tachycardia, Bradycardia, Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter
Sleep issues are linked to a wide range of chronic health problems:
After proper diagnosis and treatment, many patients report:
Sleep disorders are a major cause of drowsy driving and workplace accidents. Untreated sleep apnea increases the risk of motor vehicle accidents up to five-fold. A sleep study could help you prevent life-threatening mistakes.
Getting a sleep study gives you personalized, evidence-based data about your sleep. It arms you with the knowledge to pursue the best treatment options for long-term wellness.
Each 8-hour sleep study contains approximately 1,000 "epochs" (30-second segments) of data. At Stuart Sleep, we meticulously examine each epoch—not just the summary—to ensure nothing is missed. We analyze interactions between brain activity, oxygen levels, heart function, and more.
Your sleep study is conducted in a private, comfortable setting by a dedicated sleep specialist. We tailor the study to your individual health concerns—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
No waiting weeks for results. We deliver fast, detailed feedback and personally review your results with you. Want to see your own data? We’ll walk you through it.
Already had a study elsewhere? We offer second opinions. Our team will review your previous sleep study interpretation or reanalyze the full raw data for accuracy and completeness.
We believe patients deserve to understand their health. At Stuart Sleep, we make sure you feel confident in your results and your next steps.
Call around and you will find that a basic PSG at other clinics will cost around $6,000 for cash payments, and this only covers the test, without treatment. Even with health insurance, it is not untypical to pay between $2,000 - $3,000 for a sleep study at other clinics.
We understand that cost can be a barrier to getting the care you need. That’s why our pricing is substantially lower than what you will find at other sleep labs- all while significantly enhancing quality and the patient experience. You’ll receive world-class care at a fraction of the typical cost.
Furthermore, we offer unique financing options to make both sleep studies and treatments accessible for everyone. Even without insurance, you can expect to only pay between $120-$200/month for a comprehensive sleep evaluation, and treatment, at Stuart Sleep.*

Home Sleep Tests (HSTs) are increasingly promoted within the sleep medicine community due to a growing shortage of board-certified sleep specialists. These tests can be administered quickly and interpreted more rapidly since they collect far less data than is captured through a comprehensive in-lab polysomnogram (PSG).
The benefit of HSTs is that they help screen many patients who might otherwise wait months for a study. However, HSTs come with serious limitations compared to a full overnight polysomnogram (PSG)- the only type of sleep study performed at Stuart Sleep.
HSTs typically record only a few key metrics:
What HSTs don’t record is more concerning:
Additionally, with only one belt that can often become twisted or loose during the night, respiratory data captured by HSTs is often inaccurate or incomplete. In contrast, our in-lab studies use two belts for accurate chest and abdominal effort measurements, and your study is personally attended by a sleep specialist the entire night to troubleshoot issues in real-time.
Simply put, HSTs may appear to offer some convenience, but they fall short considerably in providing the depth of information necessary for a truly accurate diagnosis and a fully informed treatment plan.
4 to 6 out of every 10 patients prescribed CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) either:
At Stuart Sleep, we offer unique, patent-pending approaches to sleep apnea treatment that can work with or without CPAP/BiPAP. Our therapies are designed for patients who:
Stuart Sleep’s therapies are backed by thorough in-lab testing and real-time data monitoring, and include:
Whether you're struggling with snoring, fatigue, or an old CPAP machine collecting dust, or if you simply don’t feel like you’re getting the best sleep possible, Stuart Sleep is here to help. We combine expert diagnostics, personalized treatment, and compassionate care, so you can sleep soundly and wake up feeling like yourself again.
Furthermore, we offer unique financing options to make both sleep studies and treatments accessible for everyone. Even without insurance, you can expect to only pay between $120-$200/month for a comprehensive sleep evaluation, and treatment, at Stuart Sleep.*
